Good afternoon, a topic that troubles most parents as their children legally become adults. Fears driven by the stories carried in the media of lives lost on the road do not instill comfort. 18 though age of legality does not always provide reason National Geographic my favorite magazine published an article entitled Teenage Brain in October 2011. It opened my eyes to the wiring of these young minds who we provide vehicles to go along our roadways it is a must read and it states that full development of the brain and all the functions that we consider correct judgment does not occur till 25yrs I was shocked as well. However it points out that they have the ability to learn and understand the ramifications of their actions. This I think can be reinforced by parents for all of us who think they don't listen to us, think back to your teenage years and I bet you some of the lines your parents gave to you flow off your tongues with ease LOL. Age 18 is something I would consider good amongst other things.
